John Allen

Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain

Owner of Process Controls Inc.. John has held executive leadership roles with leading manufacturers and start-up companies including Nestle, Smuckers, Odwalla, Danone Waters, Kagome and Neil Jones Food Company.  He has led large project teams with turn-key line installations as well as implementing efficiency solutions, cost-savings initiatives, consolidations, team member development and performance management. He is recognized for his ability to motivate and mobilize teams within a culture of collaboration and appreciation of individual strengths and contributions. John has led development and commercialization of form fill pouch and flexible film manufacturing with specialty involving high end particulate products. John led a new plant startup in India from construction, process development, through hiring, training and commercialization. He has led several international teams in India, Portugal and Australia. He excels at leading and mentoring individuals that are new in their development as well as experienced senior managers. John has developed a well-rounded knowledge of plant operations and has succeeded in several companies in developing a top-notch management team that delivers against results through focused Key Performance Indicators. John is also well-versed in the fresh, frozen and pasteurized juice industry and was a part of the original team that wrote the FDA’s Juice HACCP plan. In addition to being recognized as an authority on thermal process.

John holds a B.A. in English from UC Davis. In addition, he has completed advanced studies in project management/execution, operational excellence & leadership, aseptic and thermal processing, food safety, HACCP and IBWA water programs.
